Wow. I was sad when the innocent Yotsuba members died in the anime, and this compilation film made their deaths sadder.
why would you be sad for people who allowed and favored the murders of innocent competitors for their own selfish reasons? No, they all deserved to die a horrible death. And if anyone wants to argue that they were forced to do this, well duh, that is because they all agreed to these secret meetings while fully knowing the kira was one of them. So they chose to be murderers. Then some of them had suddenly, saw what they were doing was wrong and decided to go back to being good ol' citizens.
Because unlike you, I read the manga and remembered it. The Yotsuba Eight were gathered under the guise of a "special reassignment", and once they found out they were going to be helping Kira from that meeting onwards, they couldn't leave without risking death. That doesn't mean their competitors deserved to die, but I can't blame the Yotsuba members besides Higuchi for wanting to survive. Maybe some of them got too comfortable killing; maybe it was because they had no choice but to get used to the situation. Even then, they reached a limit, with a few members plotting to overthrow Higuchi.
pretty sure its a recap , skipped it , it shows the first season and there's a new scene in the start
